What an electrifying night. I’ve been watching the clouds build for a few days now and not just gather but build definingly. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed some orange lightning jumping between clouds in the distance as I drove home. A surge of energy– I love storms, especially spring storms. I always thought that I would be a storm chaser when I grew up. But alas I chose to be a teacher (Art, English, ESL), perhaps a more fulfilling career–all the same I still enjoy chasing a storm for fun; and mostly to capture it with my camera.
I also love a random assortment of things like doing things with my hands (shooting photography digital or black and white film, gardening- well, I’m a beginner, woodworking, creating art- especially printmaking, and many other things) or doing things in an old fashioned sort of way which is how analog fits into the blog title.
Hugs. Self-explanatory. I like all hugs and in all shapes and sizes. My family even has a secret hug kind of like people who have a secret hand-shake. It’s hard to explain and even harder to demonstrate but includes lots of laughter–which makes it totally awesome and all the same incredibly personal!
And peppermint tea although really I love tea in general… it all started with an experience called: Fika (n.) a social coffee break with one’s colleagues, friends, date or family; usually accompanied with sweet, baked goods #Swedish
For me this wasn’t just one singular experience. Rather many experiences with Fika that have turned into an everyday journey of a lifetime. Peppermint tea just has some really nice natural properties, like helping you naturally deal with headaches without needing to head to the medicine cabinet.
What to look forward to in upcoming posts… it’s hard to define exactly. I would like some focus to be on showcasing my photography and art, as well as local businesses, and untranslatable words from various languages. Beyond that whatever happens… well, I guess happens!
